Trailer Watch: Super 8

Please watch the trailer here.

J.J. Abrams is back with his newest film, Super 8. Once again, the renowned creator had left us shrouded in mystery. We don’t actually see anything concrete in the trailer, nor have the slightest clue about what this is really about. This is what J.J. does. I swear the man could put together a trailer that shows you nothing, while spending the next two years making the movie and we would still be interested! Although I am not one of those fans that bows at the Altar of Abrams, I am interested in what he comes up with. Finding out what the monster was in Cloverfield nearly killed me.

As this is Area 51 related, this can only mean one thing… ALIENS! Also, Super 8 is a motion picture film format that was released back in the mid 1960′s. This film will most likely surround not only what is in the train car, but also what was captured on film and has since been confiscated by the United States government. It looks creepy and interesting. More please?

I wanna see Abrams bring about the return of Godzilla vs. __________ and I am suspicious that his big monster movies will turn into that. The Power Rangers and Voltron are probably on the way too haha

Does anyone else find these kind of trailers to be frustrating, as opposed to interesting? Like, that kind of style works when there is a fanbase for the subject (i.e. Star Trek), but for an original idea, in which you see very little that tells you about the movie, all the draw for the movie is relegated back to the sole fact that JJ is working on it…. (horrible flashbacks of Cloverfield)
