How would the Governments of our planet prepare six million people for the end of the world? They wouldn’t.
Take a look at the trailer here. Watch both. I like the teaser much better than the full trailer.
I’ll give the filmmakers some brownie points for this one. They are tackling an old concept that most people are familiar with. In case you aren’t, I’ll give you a little rundown. The Mayan Calendar, which was considered extremely accurate for its time, predicts the end of the world on December 21, 2012.
After watching the trailer, it was hard not to role my eyes. To me, this film just looks like The Day After Tomorrow on crack. Natural disaster movies used to be a good idea. It’s now turned into one of the worse tends in cinema. It has been awhile since a blockbuster of its kind has been thrown onto us, but it still doesn’t make it less annoying.
I can’t imagine rushing out to see this movie, if see at all.
