Watching this movie I feel like I was stapled. I'll give it to you- there are some parts of this movie that are quite enjoyable, even touching. However, I found some parts of the movie quite DARK for a "kid's film." At one point I heard a child ask his parents what happened to Ellie and I was like, wow- what a time to start this discussion. The movie is good, I don't know about an A- I'd give it a B at best. I think the physics, (the ones stated IN the movie on the ones in real life) i.e. the balloons staying filled past when they said they would, not to mention half the balloons can pop and it still stay afloat, seem to betray the story, it took me out of it at times. But all in all it was fun, unfortunately it's nothing I haven't seen before, nothing amazing. Pixar still makes humans look weird. Ed Asner's character looks like a Muppet. But it's worth going to see. I just wish they didn't show the best parts in the the trailers. I preferred the teaser and not knowing what it was about instead of the more recent trailers. This is why I close my eyes and cover my ears when the trailers to movies I know I want to see come on. Oh yeah, and the 3-D wasn't even noticeable- i guess that's just me though.
