Rupert Giles himself, Anthony Stewart Head, had lashed out over the news of the reboot of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. By the looks of things, he’s just as displeased as the fans are. Can you really blame him?

The article surfaced on imdb.com today. It appears that the filmmakers are the only ones that think this venture is a good idea. Joss Whedon, being the gracious and amazing man that he is simply stated, “I hope it’s good” in response to the news.

Anthony Stewart Head was not so congenial. He stated, “I wouldn’t want to see it, no. The Kuzuis didn’t do a great job on the movie the first time around. It was Joss’ script at the age of 19, but they changed a lot of it. They said, ‘Look, we know best and we know how to make this movie,’ and it became quite schlocky and high camp. It would be madness to do (the movie) without Whedon. It may be a bit like watching a car wreck.”

It’s nice to know that the people involved with the cult hit still care about their work and the stories that they brought to life. It would nice to hear from some of the other cast members and their thoughts on the matter.

Does anyone know where we can go to formally protest?
